I haven't compared this to any other product beacause I have not been able to find anything else that does what this does and there is no reason to shop around unless it was to find a better price.Expand your DVR storage so you can record more of your favorite TV shows. I currently have 2 dvr's and 2 dvr expanders and am able to save so many shows right now and am able to watch what I want, when I want, without having to worry about some programs being erased before I got a chance to watch. There is only so much space on dvr's so the use of these dvr expanders is definitly the way to go. Sometimes we can't watch a show for a couple of weeks. With network and cable companies scheduling so many programs at the same time on some evenings and with the pace of normal life activities, we can't watch everything at the same time and are forced to record some of these programs to watch at a later date.
